We're Back

Our family is back from our annual summer vacation to our very most favorite place…Seaside, Florida. This year, Jeanne didn’t go with us because we were just there in January and she wanted to spend her week off at her twin sister’s house in Poplar Bluff. And while it felt sort of odd for her not to be along with us, we all had the best time in our respective places. That said, we were anxious to get home on Sunday and here all of Jeanne’s stories about her week in her first person perspective. If you think Jeanne is interesting, you should really meet her twin. Seriously.

Here’s what happened while we were gone:

  1. Well, obviously, our family spent a lot of time discussing if we could sell a lot of pies in Seaside. (Actually, “Sell A Lot of Pies in Seaside” is a solid tag line.). We decided we totally could if we had a few million dollars to get started beachfront.

  2. (If anyone knows of an investor with a lot of cash and a willingness to let me make all the decisions, hit me up.)

  3. And in Poplar Bluff, Jeanne held pie making and quiche making classes for the immediate family. Since the dough recipe is all in the family, Jeanne conducted a few lessons on rolling pie dough to the correct thickness and she also helped them stock up on quiche for their freezer, plus made White Chocolate Strawberry and Pumpkin pie for dessert.

  4. And over at Creekside Pet Center, our dogs missed us. I got a text on Wednesday that our dog was having a hard time because he was nervous and so they moved him and Jeanne’s dog to a room together and sent me a code so we could watch them on my phone. Both dogs felt much better together and that’s why small businesses like Creekside are the best.

  5. And at both PJP locations, everything moved along without a single issue. Team PJP literally didn’t need us, only to check in here and there with regular updates. We’re so appreciative of all the hard work each team member contributed to make our week so stress-free. I’m not even sure they missed us, but I hope they did. Though I’m certain our dogs missed us more than anyone else…
